Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by!
My name is Elise and I’m the creator of Le Petit Saint Crochet! My favorite things include hot cups of tea, autumn afternoons, and brisk walks with my rescue dog, Jersey-Boy and our kitten, Olive. Yes, you read that right, we take our dog and our cat on a walk every day.
I have been married to my best friend for over twenty-five years and we have four gorgeous children together. I recently retired from homeschooling for twenty years and I’m still (mostly) sane.
I have been blessed to be the mother of a child with cerebral palsy and epilepsy and am an advocate for him in every way possible.
I began crocheting in early 2017 as a way to deal with the stress of a serious health crisis my son was going through . Scrolling through Pinterest I found the most beautiful granny square crib blanket and from that moment on I have been hooked (pun most definitely intended)! I jumped on Youtube and learned how to crochet and make granny squares.
In December of 2017 I was introduced to amigurumi (crocheted toys). I made a sad looking little rabbit but I was so pleased with my accomplishment that I just kept making them. I have continued from that moment on and my interest has grown to include knitting toys as well.
In August of 2018 I accomplished my goal of becoming a Certified Crochet Instructor through the Craft Yarn Council. I also now have this blog and a YouTube channel where I share my love for all things creative, whimsical, and handmade each week.
I am happy to report that my son’s health is much better and that makes this momma one happy lady. Thankfully through a very difficult time crocheting and knitting came into my life and I believe they here to stay!
There’s nothing I love more than helping you discover your own creativity through crocheting and knitting. If you happen to get bitten by the Amigurumi Bug while you’re here, I do apologize, sort of.
Please introduce yourself and let’s have fun creating!
If you would like to hear my entire creative journey please listen to my interview on the Bhooked podcast.
