I have a situation.

I never meant for it to get like this….but here we are.

So I’ve been on a mission to find fantastic stash busting crochet patterns that will help me work down my “collection”.

Yarn Stash Basics & Benefits

First, yarn stash sizes are relative. You may find my stash obscenely large and completely out of control. But some of you may laugh at mine and think I can barely call it a collection, let alone a stash.

And there are definite benefits to having an ample yarn stash like:

  • always being able to start a new project because you have what you need on hand
  • having a skein… or ten to share with a new crocheter
Yarn Suggestions

But at some point we may need to reduce our yarn stashes by either:

  • donating unwanted yarn to a charity
  • swapping yarn with a crafty friend
  • selling yarn online or at a local crochet/knitting group
  • using up what you already have (aka don’t buy any more yarn until you use up some of the yarn in your stash)

I found 15 amazing stash busting crochet projects that are going to help me reduce the amount of yarn in my stash with patterns from dish cloths, notions pouches, bookmarks, chapstick holders and everything in between.

In addition to these patterns I also wanted to share my own FREE patterns right here on my website if you would like to check them out.

Recently I had my website redone and I think (and hope) it’s easier to navigate. So if you have never been to my website or if it’s been a while, you might want to check it out because I have a lot of FREE resources and patterns for crocheters, knitters and amigurumi makers.
